Wunderment Wrap Up

Thank you for coming to play The Wunderment 23 presented by The Crack Shack!

I'm still reeling at what an amazing day of disc golf we shared on the mountain and the support we got from our sponsors and players to pull this one off. Specifically, Crack Shack chicken shack for their generous donation. I hope you all enjoy your lunch/dinners at this fantastic new addition to the Utah food scene. You'll go for the fried chicken, but you'll stay for the Cali Drip. Their support paid off instantly with their Executive Chef receiving their disc golf karma and smacking hole 15 for a paid tournament ace!

Another huge props to RecTeq grills for bringing their grills and letting Tim Dallin work his magic -- making delicious food and salsa. You can grab more every Tuesday night at Creekside Doubles.

Big ol' heber huckin' shout out to Bobby Grieves for his course curating and fostering of a brand new community of disc golfers. The place looks amazing. If you are looking to join a disc golf club in the Wasatch Back, join 435 Disc Golf Club.

Another one to Jacob Beach for stepping up and volunteering to be Assistant T.D.

Thank you to Danielle Kohut (and the entire Kohut clan). She does things to help the tournament run smoothly that I didn't even know needed doin'. You'll see how amazing she is during Wunderfall when she's not around.

Thank you to MVP Disc Sports for coming in huge with a bunch of Lab Seconds for CTP prizes and the basket for the raffle. They have been wind in my sails as ElevateUT Disc Golf grows the game in Utah.

Congrats to all our winners and on the FIVE aces yesterday (I'm counting our volunteer ace during lunch)! Many of which were not only first-time aces, but first-time tournament aces.

Thank you to our wunderful spotters: Carl Park, Corey Mecham, Tyler Harty, Dylan Cannon, Will Wu, Spencer Garret, J.D. Poulsen, Mandie Chamberlain, and Tom and Jody Abroms for their quick and active work in that river.

The river will peak this week and hold for a few weeks. Park Ranger Jonathan thinks that the river will last through June and into July this year.

IF YOU PLAY THE COURSE IN THE NEXT FEW WEEKS: Please clear sticks that get stuck underneath the bridges!!! Those bridges barely clear the creek, and we are mere inches from some places from overflowing the bridges.

The Wunderment 23 managed to raise half the cost to bring Central Coast Disc Golf out to film Utah States at Brighton and The Wunder this October. Look for a few more events this year to continue to support this effort to get Utah Disc Golf displayed to the world, including 2 events up at W.O.W. @ Wasatch Mountain State Park (dates TBD depending on snow melt) and Wunderfall.

If you are a raffle winner of an item that needs digital fulfilment that did not follow instructions to get your redemption, I'm sorry that happened to you and you should go back to school and learn how to listen (or email me and let's chat very soon, otherwise your prize will be gone).

W.O.W.: TBD

Wunderfall: October 7

Utah States the following weekend.
