River Bottoms Update 5/9/24

With the recent storms, we had to push Concrete back a week. We're looking at a big push next week to get the rest of the tee pads in.
Unfortunately, holes 13 and 14 are too wet to get a concrete truck back to them, so we will be building two turf tee pads for those holes, with the intention of replacing them with concrete after assessing how the ground fares with foot traffic after a few years.
The irrigation on the property and the planting of trees and shrubs is currently underway, with a plan to continue to extend the irrigation and add trees year over year, with the help of the office of Utah Outdoor Recreation, Tree Utah and ElevateUT Disc Golf.

Benches! The course will start with 11 backless benches installed by the community with an Eagle Scout Project.
We've had three really good community effort days to remove thistle from the fairways. There is still plenty more to murder. Please take a spaded shovel when you play, and attack as needed.
The Draper City Trails and Open Space team will mow the course once all the tee pads and plantings are complete, and they are actively looking to staff a position to help out at the course this year. Please apply or forward to anyone interested in this position.
ElevateUT Disc Golf is currently raising funds to purchase 7 additional benches to round out the 11 that Draper is purchasing. Help out now!
